Image Effects Using Hue Saturation

Concept: This is a simple lesson using hue saturation and new adjustment layer. Its simple in terms of steps as it contains 3-4 steps but its a way to go for advanced commands as this lesson deals with Adobe Photoshop channels. Try to experiment with channels and find the range of the effects you get. You can try different colors with hue saturation command. Image adjustment layer will keep the original image intact of any color.

1. Open Photoshop 7.0. Open desired image.

2. Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation
Click OK for the New Layer. Hue Saturation window is opened.

3. Select Colorize.
( Hue 121, Saturation 25, Lightness 0 )

4. Go to Channel Palette. Hue saturation channel is already selected.

5. Select Brush Tool with Smooth Brush. Paint horizontal stroke on the face.
