Modify Border

Concept: This will create a new border to the existing selection. The effect will be smooth. If you want hard edged fill, you need to use stroke command.

1. Open Photoshop. Open Image to apply modify border command.

2. Select Rectangular Marquee Tool and draw rectangular selection around the picture.

3. Select > Modify > Border (add 4 pixels width for border)

4. Select any desired color for foreground and fill the color in the selection using ALT + Del key. Press CTRL + D to deselect.
